Janice E. Stevenson Ph.D. has been a licensed psychologist in private practice in Maryland since 1984, currently in Elkridge, MD, dba as Stevenson Psychological Associates LLC.
Dr. Stevenson has worked in foster care and family therapy, served as a regional coordinator for Baltimore City and several counties, and as Director for Child and Adolescent Services for the State of Maryland Mental Hygiene Administration.
She is an adjunct professor at Goucher College’s M.Ed program, has appeared as a consultant on numerous media news and talk shows, and is and has been a psychological consultant and trainer for numerous foster care programs across the country. Dr. Stevenson consults as well to Public Defender offices nationwide, participating in mitigation evaluations for adolescents and young adults facing capital charges.
In addition to consultancies in family services and foster care agencies, Dr. Stevenson was Vice President of Integrated Behavioral Health Services where she oversaw the mental health, substance abuse, and infectious disease programs. Currently, she is President of Stevenson Psychological Associates LLC, a trauma focused private practice in Elkridge, Maryland.
Dr. Stevenson attends Hope Bible Church in Columbia, Maryland where Pastor Thomas Leake is founder and current shepherd.
